GDogg 0 Posted August 26, 2006 This is a 10 keeper league in its first year. .5 PPR. LaDainian Tomlinson went #1, and I had the choice between LJ and Alexander. I think the Chiefs have looked utterly terrible thus far. However, my heart wanted LJ...bad. I went with my head even though I think Alexander has a real chance to fall hard this season. Safe choice, I think. 1. (2) S. Alexander (#2 RB selected) 2. (19) R. Bush (#16 RB selected) 3. (22) T. Holt (#4 WR selected) 4. (39) D. Driver (#13 WR selected) 5. (42) C. Taylor (#23 RB selected) 6. (59) F. Gore (#29 RB selected) 7. (62) D. Mason (#23 WR) 8. (79) B. Favre (#11 QB...one spot after Bulger, and I was pretty upset and flustered when this occurred) 9. (82) L. Maroney (#35 RB...Barlow was on the table; I was flustered) 10. (99) B. Watson (#8 TE) 11. (102) M. Barber (#41 RB) 12. (119) V. Morency (#43 RB...chose over Lundy) 13. (122) P. Rivers (#18 QB) 14. (139) Jacksonville (#10 D) 15. (142) D. Akers (#8 K) I think I am pretty strong at RB. There are tons of decent WR's on the WW, such as Williamson. According to my projections/rankings, I have the #1 team overall and #2 starters. If I had picked LJ, I'd have the 1/1 team by a landslide. Did I really screw up passing on LJ? cntblah 0 Posted August 27, 2006 How many players can you keep - at what cost each year? I can't believe Bush, Maroney, etc went so late.. must only be able to keep 1 is all I can figure.. All in all, I like your team a lot - well done!
uwis1 0 Posted August 27, 2006 I think you are really huring at QB. I'm a huge Packers fans and I wonb't touch Favre this year with the way the O line has looked so far. If he comes through though, pairing him with Driver is solid. If QB times get tough, you have the depth at RB to make a trade and upgrade. As for LJ v. SA, it's a coin toss. Only an injury will make the difference on that pick, and you can't predict that. I still give SA the edge cuz the Chiefs blocking scheme took a bigger hit with the losses of Roaf and Richardson at FB.
GDogg 0 Posted August 27, 2006 THanks everyone. By the way, this is a 2 keeper league (not sure the cost), start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB), K, D. I hated the Maroney pick, but now I like it. I just hope the old Favre returns.
