MacAir747 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Here's my team after a 10 team redraft...drafted 9th all TD=6 points, no PPR 10 yards rush/rec=1 pt 25 yards pass=1 pt starters are 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 6 Bench normal defense and kicker points Drew Brees 5 Trent Green 7 Ronnie Brown 1st round LaMont Jordan 2 Torry Holt 3 Anquan Boldin 4 Donald Driver 6 Zach Hilton 9 Lawrence Tynes 16 Washington DEF 15 BENCH Jamal Lewis 8 Chester Taylor 11 Frank Gore 13 Matt Jones 14 Kevin Jones 12 Brett Favre 10 I actually drafted L. Maroney instead of F. Gore, but right after the draft I swapped them when I learned Barlow had been traded...would rather have a starter than a RBBC

See Mine http://www.fantasysharks.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=82005 I like most of your team, why did you get a kicker so soon? Looks like you got Phili Kicker in the 6th
Me_2006 14 Posted August 27, 2006 How in the WORLD did you get Taylor, Jones, and Gore that late? Taylor and Jones have been going like 3-5 in the drafts I've seen and been in, and with Gore being the only back in SF now his stock has been rising. Driver in the 6th? That's about a round or so more than I've seen him lasting, but its slightly more understandable, though with starting 3 WR's...I cant believe he lasted that long. I wish I was in your league man, I'd have paid those poor suckers entry fee to let me have Taylor in the 11th. Good team, but you had to already know you were better than the other jokers in your league lol. Either way, good luck with your league...though I dont see you really needing it. Any chance you can post how the draft went?
Beef Ravioli 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Hey looks like a great team - good wr's! I'm not a big Brees fan but he is still a decent QB. What's the story with Hilton? Never heard of him till today at my draft. I am assuming people think he will be the next Gates (with Brees). Check mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=224871

Any chance you can post how the draft went? Well, P. Manning was taken 3rd overall, S. Alexander went 5th overall, some kickers were going in the 6th round. Yeah, I'm in a good league! I am a little worried about my QB's, though...I could've taken a QB instead of my 3rd WR in Driver, but there was only Plummer or Green on my board so I took Driver...then came around and scooped up Green. The only QB's left in free agency are J.P Losman and A. Smith. I have to wait until the regular season to see if I have any RB sleepers on my bench like I think I do. The most shaky I think is J. Lewis, but he has some potential as well if he can get healthy
Me_2006 14 Posted August 27, 2006 Trust me, with the RB's you have, Lewis could have less than a yard this season and you'd be set at RB. I'd look to trade him off for a QB or something because you have 5 RB's that are gonna give you good #'s. You really dont need the 6th. So basically just find someone thats high on any of your bench RB's and trade that RB and Brees/Green whichever to him for Manning, Palmer, Brady, Hasselbeck. Do that, and you're set. Should I wait until the regular season to find out which one is worth trading? For some reason my league doesn't seem to grasp the RB value...they were making fun of me for drafting so many RB's while they were stockpiling 2 Kickers and Defenses on their team...with limited bench space. Of course I'm not thrilled with my Defense, but I'm not too worried about it
Me_2006 14 Posted August 27, 2006 Well if you're not happy with your D then you're talking to the right guy lol. I have the Redskins too. They run it a ton, have a smart veteran QB that doesnt turn it over much, and WR's to keep the chains moving so they have TONS of time of possession. When the other team DOES get the ball, they have playmakers at nearly every position and the best FF Safety not named Reed or Polamalu because Taylor forces tons of TO's and such. If your league scores ST along with the DEF then you're in the same boat I am, and Betts and Randle El are gonna be HUGE in the return game. Not to mention Santana Moss. D's really dont matter, but i'd say you have probably the top overall if your league scores ST as well. People can say what they want about the Bears and Steelers, I'll take Washington. If they're making fun of you for drafting so many RB's, then punch them in the face or something. Two morons actually passed on Alexander at 3 and 4...so those two cant make fun of anyone for anything lol. Plus, you'll be the one laughing at the end of the season when you win the league. Judging by where he went in your draft, and since the people in your league dont seem to know their stuff, I'd trade Lewis. He's your worst RB, but has the most recognizable name so you should get the best value out of him. Dont give the others time to realize how stupid they were, trade now if you can. I totally agree about Jamal Lewis...however with the season he had 2 years ago, it'd be my luck I'd trade him and he goes off this year. But he has the big name and he might share carries with Anderson. I'm worried about the Washington Def b/c they're getting lit up by New England tonight. I know it's preseason, but still... Anyone else have any thoughts? I'm thinking about looking for a different TE, but I can only get Graham, Pollard, C. Anderson, Troupe and after doing some research, none of them impress me. However Hilton hasn't had a great preseason. Thanks!
