Me_2006 14 Posted August 27, 2006 Okay, so basically all I've seen (and done myself) is the usual ho-hum "take LJ, LT, SA..etc. RB's in the first round" stuff. And then grabbing the top RB or WR on the board, taking a QB around round 5, grabbing the same backups, trying to handcuff your players, you know the drill. I've been kinda looking and thinking and logically that strategy that EVERYONE seems to be using, will leave everyone with basically the same teams and the guys that get the studs early or avoid injuries will win the leagues and the guys picking later are sort of at a disadvantage. To my question, anyone tried anything to change it up a little? Been in any drafts where someone went WR/WR/QB or something crazy like that? If so, let me know how it went or show me some results or something. Just looking to shake it up a bit and maybe find a new "trend". Not advising it for any money leagues or anything, because the typical way seems to work, but I just thought maybe there was something different out there. On a side note, anyone with any info on this, or input, leave me a link and I'll get back to your questions ASAP. Thanks.
Me_2006 14 Posted August 27, 2006 Not really the kind of guy to do this, but its not really a help post for my own team, so...Bump.
WeatherReport 0 Posted August 27, 2006 I usually like to take my QB much later than usual. In one draft I took Kurt Warner 9.11. I don't find much of a difference between the #2-3 QB and the #10-12 QB.
Me_2006 14 Posted August 27, 2006 Hmm, Warner at the end of 9 is great value. Especially if he stays healthy. How did that affect everything though? Better depth or a sleeper pick or what happened with the middle round pick since you waited on a QB?
