Homerj24 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Ok, my auction keeper draft was today. $240 draft cap. We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DST & 4 Flex positions. Scoring is as follows: TD's - 6 (PaTd = 4) x2 for +50 yrd score PaComp - 1 point for every 2 completions PaYard - 1 point per 25 yards Ru/Re Yard - 1 point per 10 yards Carries - 3 points for 15 carries. 1 point for every additional carry. Receptions - 2 points per catch (1 point for RB) DST gets points for return yardage as well as sacks and turnovers QB - David Carr $5 QB - Jon Kitna $5 QB - Billy Volek $1 RB - Shaun Alexander $32** RB - Chester Taylor $15** RB - Jamal Lewis $30 RB - Willie Parker $40 RB - Mike Bell $18 RB - Tatum Bell $11 WR - Derrick Mason $11** WR - Roy Williams $18** WR - Marvin Harrison $35 WR - Matt Jones $15 WR - Kevin Curtis $1 K - David Akers $1 K - Seahawks $1 ** = frozen I never spend on QB's. Bottom barrell QB's still average a lot in this scoring system. I wanted to get 3 QB's that throw a lot. I think I did that. Carries are premium, but a lot of the feature backs were frozen. I had no plans on Jamal Lewis. I missed out early on Rudi Johnson & Steven Jackson, so I grabbed another back here with Jamal with some leftover money. I really think Mike Bell is the next big thing, but just in case I am wrong, I handcuffed Tater to him. FWP is my pick to click this season. I really see him as being a top 10 back by season's end. So good value for me there. Top notch RB Free Agents go for $60+ (LT2 = $70) I had no expectations on Harrison, but at $35 I couldn't say no. $40-55 usually lands you an upper tier WR. Javon Walker and other middle tier guys were going for around $30, so I felt as though he's my best value pick. I got Jones for exactly what I had him budgeted at. Kevin Curtis was my final pick for $1. Keepers are anyone who was drafted at $29 or below. We just add $5 to hold over. Overall, I think I did well.
