Morency or Henry

Recommended Posts

In the annals of fantasy football, I'm guessing this isn't a decision that many of you have been forced to make. Considering the mediocrity of my team it might actually keep me up at night. At least through week 3 when I haven't won and can start thinking about next year.

I'm not even going to admit who the top three running backs are because it is too depressing. I joined a keeper league and the top pick of the draft was Caddy. Suffice it to say that byt the time the draft started the running back position was thinner than Nicole Richie on day 39 of Survivor.

Anyway, my two backups were Greg Jones and Vernand Morency. Now they they are Labrandon Toefield and Morency. Assuming for a second that the Henry rumor is true (still a stretch at this point), is he worth more than Morency?

Pro for Morency- should get carries along with Lundy. If he can find a way to impress with one or two good performances then he might be able to get the bulk of the work.

Negative for Morency- he's a #2 running back on what looks to be one of the worst three offenses in the NFL

Pro for Henry (assuming rumor is true)- at one point in his career he put up consecutive solid years with double-digits in TDs. He's only 28 and, if nothing else, has proven to the Titans that he is a professional with good conditioning and work ethic.

Negative for Henry- the rumor might not be true so he then becomes the #2 running back on one of the worst three offenses in the NFL- if not #3 depending on whether White turns into a professional or regresses into a high-pick with a bad attitude.

This will be my fifth running back but I actually might have to start him once down the road. Please don't ask why, I feel stupid enough already.

Any input would be much appreciated.
