Kitrick Taylor 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I've got an opportunity to trade Deuce McAllister for Marion Barber in my dynasty league. Just wondering peoples opinions on the deal. My RBs now: Larry Johnson Ronnie Brown Kevin Jones Deuce McAllister Fred Taylor Jerious Norwood Michael Bennett I am leaning toward making the deal as MBIII is five years younger and two ACLs younger than Deuce. Its a 12 team league that I won last year. (Thanks LJ). I just don't see Deuce (27 years old now, 28 by end of season) getting out of NO this season or next to be a clear #1 RB again. His Signing bonus was just huge, therefore making him untradeable for a few years. MBIII is currently running behind JJones, but he looks real good, and JJones has proven to be injury prone. Just wondering if anyone agrees/disagrees with me on this one.
butt-head 0 Posted August 31, 2006 You are really deep at RB now, and I think Deuce is on the downside. If he is stuck in NO like you think then he will lose touches to Bush. I think Barber is more likely to steal carries from Julius. So basically Deuce going down, Barber portential to go up. I think it is a decent trade. Not a great rade, but a fair trade if you want to bank on Barber's potential over Deuce.
Smol0028 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I would do it...McAllister has nothing left. Bush will over take him by next season, or at best RBBC. And even if he is traded, which I don't see, he's getting old and injuried. Thanks for seeing mine
LoserKid 0 Posted August 31, 2006 You proved your own point. Barber is younger and healthier than Deuce. Plus, Deuce's playing time is going to get reduced dramatically now that Bush is in town. While Barber's is expected to increase since JJ is a injury risk and is a slasher RB, not the type Parcells normally employs. Take a look at mine if you can... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=226613
jvizzini 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I would definitley take Barber.. he is younger and has a bright future.....
