leftyguitar 0 Posted September 3, 2006 I've got deion branch (took him in the 12th round on a gamble)... tried offering him up for other team's backup DEF's and am getting no takers. Take a look at my WR corps: Holt, Wayne, Driver, Evans, Kennison. Do I even need to hold onto branch? it seems like he's gonna be more hassle than he's worth. there's a couple players i could snag in his place: joseph addai was dropped so i could snag him, DeAngelo Williams wasn't drafted he's hangin around, also Curry is still there now that gabriel is out of oakland, dante hall is available (my league awards a point per 20 return yards, hall was in our top 25 WR last year)... I could also backup Gonz by taking Troupe or another WW TE (hilton, wiggins, pollard, kinney, winslow still there) . There's a couple good DEF too, Atlanta, cinci, buffalo, philly, minnesota... what do you guys think? since i probably won't even ever start him anyway, is branch really worth the roster spot he's taking up on my bench? just to keep another team from snagging him for free? (10 team league, so everybody's got a decent WR, nobody's hurting enough to really need him at the moment.) I'm really gettin tired of havin him around. J-Money 4 Posted September 3, 2006 if you can't taxi him and open up an extra spot i'd drop him. NE passes the ball around too much for him to be reliable anyway. If anything you could always pick him back up week 8 (he will report week 10 if he doesn't get traded or get the money he wants so he can get credit for the year). Addai could be good in Indy is there anyone better at the play action fake than P. Manning??
