Bozak 0 Posted September 7, 2006 So... Here's my RB situation: Portis Cadillac Lundy C. Brown Benson Betts Norwood I need to pickup a K and can only drop a RB to do so.... My thoughts: If Portis goes down, Betts would obviously be good to have if I need to start him... but with Duckett being a TD vulture, he shouldn't be all that valuable anymore. Plus I have Lundy and C. Brown to start in place of Betts if Portis does go down. Benson... I think he'll eventually be a starter in Chicago, and if he does start, I would imagine he'd put up better numbers than Betts would if Betts ends up starting because of a Portis injury. So basically, I'm gambling that Benson will be a starter in Chicago before Portis gets injured again and can't play. Right now I'm leaning on dropping Betts. badassbroncs 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Dont drop Benson he is twice as valuable as Betts. Please respond to mine below( who to get for handcuff)
Haverchuck 0 Posted September 7, 2006 I would keep benson. Big upside and chicago has paid him too much not to give him a chance.
beargang 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Without a doubt drop Betts As a Bears fan, here is how things work in Chicago "What Angelo wants Angelo gets" Benson is Jerry's guy, Thomas Jones is Lovie's guy. Angelo wears the pants between those two. Angelo will put pressure on Lovie to Get Benson touches when he is physically able. That being said, I don't like Cedric Benson, he has been nothing but a distraction to the Bears, but he will get his touches eventually. Like you said, with Duckett what value does Betts really have even if Portis isn't healthy?
sezu 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Yeah, gotta agree. Drop Betts. Betts is the starter if Portis is out, but it'll be running back by commitee. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=229871
