gobuckeyes 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I give Jordan/Holt, I get Portis/Boldin. If I do this trade I need to do it now while Portis's status is still in doubt for the game. If he goes back into the starting lineup his value is much better. Also, should I try adding a swap of my Trent Green for his Eli Manning to the deal? my other backs are SJax, KJones, & Wali Lundy so I can put in another starter week 1. HowieWan 0 Posted September 8, 2006 You're each offering top 10 guys at the position, so the trade is fair. I am not sure why you are making this trade--you must like Portis and Boldin better to have great years. I personally would rather have Jordan and Holt, but every person has their own preferences. If you offer the trade, definitely try to upgrade to Manning at QB. It's worth a shot since everything else about the trade is so even. However, I think Boldin is going to have a sub-par year based on what is being expected of him.
4thand26 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I definitly like Portis over Jordan. However a nicked up portis is no better than a healthy Jordan. Also, I still say Boldin is going to have a better year than Fitz. (mark it down). So, if you're confident on Portis returning to form, than this trade is good for ya. do it! Vertical Smiles 0 Posted September 8, 2006 You didn't say whether this was a keeper league or not. If you're confident that Portis will return in the next week, and still won't get pulled near the goal line to protect the shoulder, then I like the deal. I would be wary of the Duckett thing. Duckett excels near the goal line and why else would they get him when they have Betts and Cartwritght, all similar runners. I guess I'm not sold on the trade primarily because of that reason, but if you can pull off the Green for Manning exchange with it, then it's a marketable improvement. Holt for Boldin is a wash in my opinion. I think Herm Edwards is going to kill Greens numbers this year.
Xtreme Colts Fan 1 Posted September 8, 2006 I wouldn't. I like Portis, but with the latest acquisition of Duckett, he will lose Goal Line carries. I like Boldin, but his production will not be the same and Holt is the most consistent WR in Fantasy Football for the past 5 years

The Skins don't plan on completely ruining their big investment.
