McMicheal

Recommended Posts

Or am I overreacting? I realize that last night, the Fins were playing the Steelers and their stout D, so expectations should be tempered a touch. But it looked to me that McMIcheal was doing a lot of blocking against that rush and frankly did not have a great game.

I have Ben Watson already at TE, and I don't like carrying 2 TEs. I'm thinking about dropping McMoose for Marques Colston, who yahoo has listed as a WR/TE. I could then use COlston as my backup TE, and really, I don't think anyone in the league will be picking up McMicheal as everyone likes their TE in our league. There are still other viable options on the waiver wire at TE like Wiggins, C. Anderson, Conwell, Dallas Clark, Leonard Pope etc. as a backup TE should Colston be nothing, and Watson flop.

So my question is, do we believe the Colston and Watson hype? Is it time to cut bait with McMIcheal?

Thanks in advance, leave a link and I'll reply

Everything is up in the air. I didn't expect Heath Miller to explode like that. McMichael didn't have that bad of a game, the majority of balls were thrown to Chambers (expected) but I would say McMichael had quite few thrown somewhere near him (keyword: somewhere). I'm actually liking the Colston option more and more. Brees has no one else to throw to but Bush.

I say go for Colston.

I am also in the same situation carrying McMichael and Watson.

I think I am going to wait for McMichael to have a decent week and then try to trade him while he is hot.

With no Deion Branch, I think Ben Watson is going to be huge.

Brady reads defenses better than anyone and he loves the dink and dunk.

I think Watson could easily get 65+ catches this year and about 9 TD's

That's what I'm thinking as well, about waiting for him to have a decent week, but I don't think anyone is going to bite on it. The TE's gone in our league are Gates, Shockey, Gonzo, Crumpler, Heap, Witten, Cooley, Heath Miller, LJ Smith, Watson, Winslow and Vernon Davis and one guy has 2 TEs with Ben Troupe. Everyone is in love with their TE, the only guy i could think about dealing him to is the Davis owner, but he's stubborn and drafted Davis ahead of McMoose. So I don't know if I'll be able to deal him. In the meantime, I just have this feeling that Colston is gonna be a diamond in the rough this year.

Mcmicheal os still goin gto have a good year. Culpepper still likes to look to his TE's. Last night was a circumstance of Welker playing over his head, those passes will in my mind be going to Mcmicheal inthe future.

I think Culpepper had the jidders last night, but he showed a lot of good signs. Plus the Stellers D isn't exactly swiss cheese. Don't jump to conclusions on Mcmicheal just yet.

Agreed. I wouldn't cut McMichael yet. He was playing a top D last night. Stick with him for now. But I'd start Watson. He's going to have a huge year.
