Where do you rank the SD Chargers D?

Recommended Posts

Where would you rank the SD defense compared to:

Chi, Balt, Carolinia, Pitt, Seattle, Atl, ect.?

I think they are a solid team you can rely on because they will rack up a lot of sacks. Not as elite as those. I usually use the waiver wire to get a good def that has a good match up. It just so happens SD has a good match up this week so I would expect more good numbers again.

think the jury is out somewhat on Atlanta and Carolina. Some games they show up huge and others they seem to give it up big time. The Chargers D is definitely on the rise. Merriman and Castillo are only getting better. Their front seven is as good as any young defense and in a year or two, I think their front seven will rank among the best. However, their secondary is somewhat suspect. The pressure from the front seven covers up some of the problems, but they're still there. From a fantasy standpoint, they'll get sacks and hold some teams down, so they're proably in the tier just below the ones you mentioned. I have my reservations about Carolina and Atlanta, as I said.

Thanks for the help on mine

I actually drafted them as my #2 defense behind Indy. Tough decision this week as they both have weak opponents. Chargers vs Titans, Indy vs houston. Screw it i"m going w/ the hot hand ... Go Merriman

I have carolina but picked up SD for this week only. I like CAR in the long run, but just too hard to pass up this juicy SD vs TEN.
