Vertical Smiles 0 Posted September 21, 2006 We start 1QB, 2 RB's, 3 WR's, 1 TE , 1K, and 1 DEF in a 12 team, 18 man roster league. Performance scoring with points per reception. I am being offered Dunn, Colston, and Gonzales for Galloway, Foster, and LJSmith. My team is as follows: Manning/Brunell Dillon, Foster, Benson, CBuck, Davenpoop, Lundy CJ, Galloway, Williamson, Moulds, Evans, Cotchery LJSmith Wilkins Seattle This guy is loaded at RB (Rudi, Dunn, McGahee, Deuce, Barlow) and can afford to trade from depth to improve his wideouts. The only drawback to this is the TE exchange, I'd need to pickup a scrub for this week and we still don't know when (if ever) Trent Green will be cleared to play. Any thoughts? kbtegp 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I'd see if i could knock the TE's out of the deal first. But if you can't you still need to take it. Youre upgrading at RB too much to pass. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235694
Cougars77 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I would definitely do it. I don't know that you're even downgrading that much at tight end. LJ Smith is playing better this year and Gonzalez has not been truly "Gonzo" the last couple years. He still has the big name but hasn't been super. The upgrade at RB is definitely worth any potential downgrades. Foster is injury prone and DeAngelo Williams is stealing carries. You might want to try and get Norwood after you make the trade, though. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235698
midnitetoqr 0 Posted September 21, 2006 This trade makes me slightly suspiciuos, but unable to pinpoint why. Maybe that means it's actually a fair deal. You get a big RB upgrade. If you had another starter or two on your bench, you could afford to wait a couple weeks to see if Foster manages to hold off Williams...but since you don't, it seems to me that now is the time to act. Galloway has always seemed to be an all-or-nothing type of guy. I like Colston, but honestly, he probably isn't as valuable as Galloway...yet. Still, your WRs should be okay without Galloway. And you take a slight hit at TE, which could end up being a big hit depending on how long Green is out. As much as I really dislike Gonzo's situation, I think overall this benefits your team. yomamahates 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Thanks for your post. This is not bad. But with Green gone, its questionable if Huard will look for the big bird. Dunn had an impressive running game, and so did his QB. Dunn should still pull in the great yards. Foster has been unimpressive! I'm waiting until he has a decent game so I can trade him for someone useful. Colston is a diamond in the rough. Bree's Loves His TE's. LJ has really done nothing. You've got it great. Go for it.
