WW RB pickup - Lendale White or Marion Barber III?

I'd like to add a fifth running back in my PPR league. Both Lendale White and Marion Barber III showed up on the waver wire this week. Who has more value going forward? White because he has a better chance to start or Barber because he's got more talent?

I'd guess White will get a good, long look by the Titans to see what they've got. Julius is playing well this year, so I think the best you can hope for is RBBC in big D.

Wow that is really tough. Many experts are predicting MBIII will be a legit starter by midseason, but in the long run White might be a better pick-up because he has the most upside of any back on his team.

 

If you are good are running back and looking for a possible future-stud then I would go White.

Both can do well this season. But I think that MBIII has a little more upside this season, and LenDale in the next couple seasons. JJ is one fumble or injury away from Parcells doghouse for the rest of the season.

I like Barber myself for fantasy numbers but the upside of white is intriguing so I guess I take White if I only needed a flex position RB who could be a good RB#2 later.

Hmm...this is a tough one. But I like LenDale White because it seems Chris Brown and Travis Henry both have turf toe, which can linger the whole season. I think White ends up starting sooner rather than later. Pick up White. Good luck!

I drafted both Barber and white and dropped White weeks ago. I know things are looking up for him now with the turf toes in tenn but that team is sad and he's a goal line back anyway. Vince Youg may be starting there soon and he may run a lot in the red zone.

 

I dunno very close call, but Barber has proven ability and is on a decent/good team. I would go Barber and watch the situation in Tenn closely. If White has a couple of good runs or scores, drop Barber and pick White.

I would take MB3 right now. Even with JJ playing, he's capable of yards and scoring TDs. The potential is there to take over full-time also. He gets alot of playing time anyway right now.

Barber. Better team/o-line, solid receiver and definitely getting carries (Parcells has said he doesn't want to run JJ more than 20 times per game). As another poster said, you also have to deal with Vince Young stealing runs/TDs. If JJ gets hurt MBIII has some serious value!
