Leon Washington?

I'm in a Dynasty League with huge rosters (42 players)...Is Washington worth picking up now and hoping he becomes the man in New York down the road?

 

I'm solid at RB, so I have roster space to just hold on to him.

If you have the roster space, sure why not? You could give him a few weeks, see if he wins the job (or at least a solid platoon situation), and then decide on keeping him. The NYJ job could very well be winnable, and Washington could develop into a very versitile back. Always felt he was under-appreciated at FSU.

I would personally shy away from this soon to be RBBC situation, but I understand the logic. If you do not think this will hurt your chances later, go for it. I have a similar one. Have you considered??

Jacobs and Jones-Drew are already on teams. I don't really need the roster spot...At RB I have Barber, R Johnson, Westbrook, and Dillon. But in my league, which has been going for 10+ years now (my 3rd), the trend seems to be to pick up young RBs before they become the main man for their respective teams, I'm just wondering if Washington will become the main guy in the future.

I'm not sure he will become the main guy, but if he does NYJ have invested a lot in their O-line and it will likely pay off in the next couple years. If you don't need the roster spot then pick him up and see how he gets used the next few weeks.
