Trade for Alexander?

Maybe this is a stupid question. I've been offered Shaun Alexander and Hines Ward for Gore and Reggie Brown. My instinct is "pull the trigger, stupid," but I'm iffy on Alexander's recovery time from the injury. Plus, both Gore and Brown have proven themselves reliable contributors, while Ward sucks. What do you all think? How soon will Alexander be back 100%?

The Hawks will go deep into the playoffs riding the back of SA. I would make this trade in a second. He is a TD maker while Gore may be losing his goal line opportunities to Robinson.

It depends on what the rest of your team is like and what your needs are - but based on just the players in question, I don't think I'd do it. I'm worried on how Alexander will be when he gets back - those foot injuries are killers, especially for RBs.

This is a tough one for me. I love Alexander down the stretch and I love Brown as well with the hamstring problem for Stallworth. That said, I say go for it. Alexander should bounce back starting next week healthy. And as far as Gore goes you never know if he will lose some goal line carries because of those fumbles. I say get Alexander while you still can for this low of a price.

I wouldn't do it. I make it a rule not to trade for guys that aren't playing because you never know how long they'll be out and you don't know how effective they'll be when they get back. Plus, Gore is leading the league in rushing (tied w/ Jackson) and playing great. I think the fumblitis is behind him. Ward is doing absolutely nothing and Brown is playing very well right now. McNabb will be throwing like crazy all year and Brown will be a direct beneficiary.

If you can ge the reigning MVP - do it. He wanted to play against the bears, it can't be that bad.

 

Ward will come around as Big Ben does too...

I would make the trade. Having Alexander down the strecth could be huge! If you can hold out 1 or 2 more weeks he should be back to full strength.

Yep, make the trade...there's too many weapons on the Eagles team for R.Brown to be consistent throughout the year (IMO)...pull the trigger!
