How to Pry Away Rudi J

Recommended Posts

I'd love to get Rudi Johnson to replace Tiki or better yet start alongside Tiki.

Standard scoring; non-keeper league; 12 teams.

My roster:

QBs: Bulger, Kitna (start 1)

RBs: Tiki, Jordan, Foster, Barber III (2)

WRs: Boldin, Evans, Keyshawn, Colston, Jennings (2)

TE: Des. Clark

K: Akers

D/ST: Panthers

Team with Rudi:

QBs: Roethlisburger, Eli, B. Johnson

RBs: Rudi, FWP, L. Betts

WRs: Stallworth, Ward, Kennison

TE: Troupe, Gates

K: Tynes, Elam

D: Cowboys

What would you offer for Rudi?

Alright, this guy is hurting for WR, so you should package someone with a hot hand right now.

Maybe Jennings, Colston or even Boldin

with:

Foster or Jordan

I would sacrifce depth at RB since both Tiki and Johnson had their byes

Rudi is tough to get. In one league I offered Westbrook for Rudi and not a peep. Another I got him but had to give up Portis straight. Which I didn't mind being a Bengals fan. Looks like you may need to offer Tiki straight unless you can get interest in Foster and a WR. Depending on his (and your) preference. Please see . . .

I would try this but not with Boldin

Throw him Jordan or Foster and two of your WR, you'll likely have to give up someone like Boldin and Jennings for equal value on a stud like Rudi

He won't be left with much at RB if you take Rudi so it might be tough. He needs help bad at WR so maybe he'd downgrade to Jordan or Foster if you packaged one of them with Colston, Jennings, or Keyshawn.

I'd give up Foster before Jordon because Foster always gets hurt and Williams is going to steal carries from him once he's healthy.

If he won't go for any of this, I'd think twice about trading Tiki for Johnson. The trade alone is good, I think, but Cinci has a much tougher schedule coming up, especially against the run with Baltimore twice and San Diego.
