Bye Week Problem

14 team standard scoring league, no PPR for RBs.

 

I have 7 players on bye on a 15 roster team so I am forced to start Correll Buckhalter this week. The only players on waivers that could see action are Mike Anderson, Musa Smith, Michael Robinson and Mack Strong. Would you drop Buckhalter for either of these RBs and start them. Every point is very critical in this league. Any input will be appreciated.

I don't like Buckhalter. He fumbled away his chances to become a big factor in the offense.

 

Michael Robinson....no value this week barring injury to Gore.

Mike Anderson...decent back with minimal value.

Mack Strong....would be banking on getting a touchdown and that is about it.

 

Musa Smith is my pick of the group. He keeps getting more looks every game that Lewis looks like crap, plus I believe Musa is the third down back. He gets decent receptions and yardage.

 

What about Leon Washington, Ron Dayne, Noah Herron.....are they already gone?

 

Justin Fargas is another option. Da Raiders should get blown out this weekend, so Fargas could put up good numbers.

 

Tough luck for you during this bye week....good thing is after this bye week you should be good to go the rest of the year.

Thanks for the input I was thinking the same way. Fargus is available but the rest are gone. I am not a big fan of his.

Strong could be best upside as starter of potentially high scoring game. If Michael Turner available, he could get a score this week too. Good luck.

Givent Westbrooks situation, I could see you down the road being very sorry that you dumped Buckhalter.

 

I'd say start him... take your bye-week pill... and move on.

 

Unless you're 1-4 and need to win out to see the postseason... then... go with Musa Smith.
