Roster Problems...need help...

Recommended Posts

Check out my roster in my signature. I need SERIOUS help with my roster to try and salvage my season. I just fell to 2-4 thanks to Grossman's HORRIBLE performance Monday night. Now I have him (Grossman) and Gould on a bye this week.

There are plenty players still available on wires. I'm contemplating many things right now.

cutting Cooley, Keyshawn and/or Moss for:

1) Travis Henry or DeShaun Foster

2) Philip Rivers or Matt Leinhart (Oakland, Green Bay and Detroit on the schedule)

3) Reggie Williams, Lee Evans, Bryant Johnson or Chris Henry

4) or a kicker for the week since Gould is on a bye this week

I also don't know who to start at WR this week.

I'm even thinking about not playing Westbrook and using Jennings or Moss in the flex spot (my league you can either play 2 RBs or 3 WRs).

I need advice. No one in my league pays attention to trades so they're pretty much impossible. Give me your best ideas as to how I can upgrade my roster ASAP.

Starting with the QB, Rivers is turning it on and could be a solid starter later on in the season. For this week, I like Pennington out of everyone else.

Travis Henry has been on a tear and has been very solid, but he plays for Tennessee and you never know what you're going to get. Westbrook and Tatum are OK RB's for now...that's a tough call though.

The only receiver available that's better than what you have, in my opinion, is Lee Evans but he has problems getting into the end zone and has a poor team around him.

Winslow is solid, i like him.

Obviously you'd want to get a kicker for the bye week, i feel that that's a crap shoot though. Try to find a good matchup.

Hope i helped.

Stick with the QB's you have. Drop Cooley and pick up a kicker. Grab a kicker with the least missed FGs and the best matchup. I wouldn't drop Key if I were you. I understand trades are hard in your league but that doesn't make it right to drop him and let someone else pick him up for nothing. I'd drop Moss if there is something else you really need on the wire.

Play Westbrook this week. Tampa is not very good against the run and Westbrook will most likely have a better game than he did this past Sunday.

I see no problem with cuting Cooly, Keyshawn and Moss.

Give pennington the start. He's earned it and should perform well against Detroit.

I would pick a kicker, (no reason to take a zero), you can always drop them after Gould's bye.

Then I would grab T. Henry while he's hot, and R. Williams.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for mine.

I'd cut Keyshawn, SD defense & Cooley and pickup either of those QBs, Foster and a kicker. Denver's D is awesome. Foster is fairly solid aside from only having 1td, you can always cut him when Denver has their bye to add a D at that time. Cooley is worthless since you have Winslow, you need a kicker here.

Drop Cooley & get a kicker for the week. I wouldn't consider sitting Westbrook though - this is the first week that he hasn't been mentioned in the injuries on the Eagles (so far this week)

I suggest more drastic measures.

Drop Pennington and pick up Leinart. Pennington's put up some stinkers and the talent around him is suspect. Leinart looked great in throwing for 200+ and 2TDs even though the Cards only passed the ball for two and a half quarters, plus the talent around him is very high.

Drop Cooley and pickup Henry. You don't need Cooley, and you do need some more RB depth as SA's out, Westbrook's fragile, and Bell is unproven. The Titans have been a different team since Young stepped in, and I see them being competitive for the rest of the year, at least more so than they were the first few weeks.
