Too Much for Tikki?

Recommended Posts

Please respond - I will return the favour!

OK, I have a pretty stacked team in a 12 team league (2 man keeper). I'm currently running second, just under a guy with S Jackson, Larry Johnson, and Donovan Mcnabb. Here's the deal, I have been offered Tikki for Addai and Hines Ward (neither of whom I start consistently). I just feel the deal is a bit too much to give up for a guy who is going to play a hanful of games and retire. I'm giving up a potential keeper in Addai, and a lot of points in Ward... however, that said - I don't really need those two!!! My keepers are potentially Bush and Eli/R. Brown...

I also tend to think that Tikki might give me a better chance for the championship!

Thoughts?

My team:

QB Eli Manning

RB R Brown

RB K Jones

RB J Addai

RB R. Bush

WR T Holt

WR C Johnson

WR Hines Ward

WR T Glenn

TE A Gates

K Elam

Def Chicago

Format: 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1TE, 1K, 1Def

THanks!

Would you be keeping Addai if you didn't pull off the trade? If not, then I'd go ahead and pull the trigger. Tiki will end up getting a couple scores at some point this year and will continue to be a yardage monster. I see him as an upgrade for this year only of course. Hines Ward is great but with the Steelers offense how it's been and the fact that you have CJ, Holt, and Glenn, and you can only start 2 anyway, you can afford to give him up. I like both sides of the trade.

Thanks for answering mine :dunno:

Ok, just read your question more completely (about Addai being a possible keeper). If you're set on keeping Addai then I wouldn't take the deal, but I personally would rather keep Holt and maybe Ronnie myself.

I agree, unless your keeping Addai, then I would pull the trigger. It looks like Rhodes is finally taking a back seat in Indy, but Tikki is a yardage monster and with the Colts come playoff time, you never know who they will sit. I was burned last year by them. Also, you can definately afford to let Hines Ward go, so this one seems pretty easy to me.
