tony hardware 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Marquette/GW in the final four; Louisville#5 taking down #3. I've always considered Lousiville to be a small market team and their recent joining of the Big East has done much for their national recognition. For me, it's a bit of a "Rudy" story to see these smaller market schools really developing good programs and producing quality athletes that go on to compete at the professional level. It's nice to see the OSU's, Notre Dame's, Michigan's and Texas' simply out of history and tradition. These schools form a part of our national collective conscious, but its nice to see a smaller market school rise to national prominence. A bit of the changing of the guard. In a related story, I'm glad to see Rutgers is no longer traditionally the worst team in college football. Good for them.
