Leading Demwit claims U.S. has lost war in Iraq.

Recommended Posts

I'll bet the troops are glad to here this. I can't wait to see how the Demwits spin this as "supporting the troops". :pointstosky:

The war in Iraq "is lost" and a US troop surge is failing to bring peace to the country, the leader of the Democratic majority in the US Congress, Harry Reid, said Thursday.

"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," Reid told journalists.

it's hard to understand this need in some to declare defeat...it's hard to understand why a single nutjob on a college campus gets no push back except from a 79 year old Jewish professor who survived the Nazi's but got no backup from his students and dies in their defense. What are we teaching our young folks in college? When is dying like sheep better than fighting back against evil? We need more history lessons in school and way less PC limp dickness. Read what follows and do a search on the Warsaw Uprising.... about folks who faced a choice between surrender and dying or fighting back and dying. The doomed effort to resist failed but their magnificent honor burns bright to this day.---------->             Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Commemorated The last surviving leader of the Warsaw ghetto uprising placed yellow daffodils on a granite memorial Thursday to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the start of the ill-fated, armed resistance. Marek Edelman, shivering on a chilly spring day, walked arm-in-arm with his granddaughter from the stark monument for heroes of the uprising in downtown Warsaw to several other sites within the Nazi-era ghetto for Warsaw Jews. On one of Edelman's stops, a group of teenagers sang Yiddish songs that roused the fighters who rose up on April 19, 1943 against Germany's attempts to liquidate the ghetto. Edelman, who picked out the tunes, sang along softy. In a separate ceremony, Poland's President Lech Kaczynski and other officials placed wreaths at the monument to those killed in what was the first major act of civilian resistance against the Nazis in Poland during World War II. They opted to fight their captors in the face of plans to exterminate the tens of thousands of Jews remaining in the ghetto, where Nazis had crowded more than 400,000 people in November 1940. The residents, outnumbered and outgunned, held off German troops for three weeks with homemade explosives and a cache of smuggled weapons. Most of fighters were killed and the Nazis burned down the ghetto street by street.

This guy is right on, I'm glad someone has the balls to stand up and say it (democrat or republican).....even the troops are starting to realize you CANT WIN THIS WAR.

It has been proven time over time throughout history that it is nearly impossible to occupy another country, especially when the people living in that country DONT WANT YOU THERE.

Is it that hard for you nitwits to understand??? No one wants us there and we arent making America any safer. There is more hatred for AMerica around this world than ever before and the Iraq Occupation is the reason why. This is not about winning or losing, it is about realizing that it is useless to try and force democracy and "freedom" on people that are intent on massacring each other. Cut your losses and bring our boys home, quit playing Texas Hold Em with our country - we do not have to be "all in" Mr. Bush.
