I Saw Transformers Last Night

Recommended Posts

I'm in shock right now.

I keep pinching myself to make sure this isn't a bad dream. It's not. I watched this waste of 2 and a half hours of my life tonight! I really can’t believe the good ratings that it is getting! Who are you people who were entertained?

Yea yea, I was a fan in the 80's blah blah blah. I was pissed about the changes in the vehicles and robot designs like everyone else. After all the complaining I realized that this is the year 2007 and things change and that the new transformers actually looked cool after seeing the trailer.

The more clips I saw, the more hyped I was about seeing it. Constantly talking about how good it would be even if it were just the action scenes, I went to the see it with an open mind.

The first 15 minutes I was amazed. The whole Air force base scene was getting my heart pumping and all my nervous thoughts about the movie sucking had faded.... Sigh of relief.....for now...

Things are looking good but then Bumblebee starts shining an Autobot symbol into the sky, like freaking Batman!!!!!

After that the whole story goes to hell!! You have the computer hackers decoding a signal that has no meaning in the story and eating doughnuts before interrogation! Bad, I mean "BAD CGI" Autobots introducing themselves for a brief second (Who are you people that are saying the CG was good?) Remember War of the worlds, Lord Of The Rings, or Jurassic Park? (Good CG)

Jazz says, "Wassup bitches" I think. Prime says, "My bad" And you never get a sense of the Autobot characters non the less the Decepticons because while the story is all over the place there is a scene when they group up and go to Hoover Damn.

In the action scenes the cameras shake so much that you cant tell what’s going on, or that in a second Megatron rips Jazz in half for anyone to care about. Oh yea, Frenzy aka JAR JAR says, "oh ****!" before he is killed.

Wow, my post is scrambled all over the place just like the movie.

Anyway, I had doubts about the movie and went in with an open mind. I just feel that they had the tools, the money, and the talent to make AT LEAST a fun movie to watch. Instead, it looks like someone slapped a bunch of clips together with no story, bad CGI, and a setup of a sequel for no reason at all.

Did I mention that a Mountain Dew pop machine transforms into a robot? Sorry
