• Mike Martz, often known as the Mad Scientist, hasn't coached a team that has thrown more than 24 passing TDs in last 5 years.

• In the last two seasons, Carson Palmer has thrown more TDs than Peyton Manning - 60 to 59.

• Only 32 QBs have thrown 30 or more TDs in the last twenty years.

• Last year, Marc Bulger threw a league high 52 passes from inside the 10 yard line. That's 12 passing attempts more than any other team and he tied Peyton Manning with 18 TDs from that same distance.

• J.P. Losman led the Bills to a 5-2 record over his last seven games, putting up 12 TDs and averaging 222 passing yards per game. Can you say sleeper?

• Vince Young averaged only 159 passing yards a game and completed a league low 51% of his passes, including only 3 of 24 inside the red zone. Let someone else buy into the Vinsanity hype.

• Eli Manning started the season on fire, then faded fast. Over his last 9 games, Eli averaged only 175 passing yards and amassed a pedestrian 9 TDs and 9 INTs.

• Of the 39 QBs that started 5 or more games in 2006, only Peyton Manning threw more TDs per game than Denver rookie Jay Cutler. Cutler also became the 1st QB to throw 2 TDs per game in his first four starts. Cutler will make a nice late round choice for your fantasy team.

• Rex Grossman - who surprised many last year with a few big games, averaged only 184 passing yards with 16 TDs and 20 INTs in his last 14 starts. He's being greatly over valued in 2007.

• In the last two years (on a per start basis) Donovan McNabb has been the most potent fantasy QB averaging 286 passing yards and a whopping 38 TDs in only 19 starts. Temper your expectations though as McNabb is the biggest health concern among top flight QB's.

• Matt Hasselbeck was the NFL's worst QB inside the red zone last season, completing only 15 of 40 passes.

• In 11 games last season, Matt Leinart averaged 231 yards -- good for 10th best in the league. However, with a more conservative offensive scheme projected for this season, look for his passing totals to drop slightly.

• Lastly (not that it matter, unless they start casting for the Longest Yard II), Michael Vick completed only 53% of his passes. This was 2nd worst among QB's with 100 or more pass attempts. I'm sure Michael Vick will have no problem hitting Tony Taylor with a pass right about now.
