mec411 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I will be trading Jones-Drew and Colston for Steve Smith. I know I give up a lot but WRs are kinda weak. I would still make the move, here's why. Last year, and much to my chagrin, LT was as productive as the number 9 and 10 RB's COMBINED. He will make up for the loss of MJD, whose stock is down in a non-PPR league. If this were a PPR league, I wouild say no, stay put. But you're getting a number 1 WR in return to go with another number 1 WR. Yeah you give up a bonafied number 1 RB but you have LT, Lynch, Magahee, Jacobs. I am surprised you have yet to make this trade, to be honest. I just think you need to run comparisons and make sure what I am telling you is right. I wouldnt want to steer you wrong, but I think I would make the trade. Good Luck.
nosferatu9368 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I'm not sure i'd make this trade, Colston has a better Offense around him and could put up nearly the same numbers as Smith, if the other team you are trading with needs Jones-Drew offer him Jones-Drew and Branch. I just think you're giving up to much. Good Luck Peace...
scoob13us 0 Posted September 1, 2007 Delhome isn't the best QB in the league but he does target Steve Smith alot....I would hold off on the trade b/c U have WR depth.....
ir0nchef 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I think its too much. Even though you're so deep at RB, that you probably wont even use MJD...I would not want to give up Colston. In some instances, MJD could net Steve Smith straight up. If that doesn't work, throwing in Clayton should be enough. MJD and Branch is as high as I'd go. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283337
Poloc2289 0 Posted September 1, 2007 Yea, I think you're giving up too much. I know you have great depth at RB but I think Colston will actually outproduce Steve Smith this year. Colston is in a much better situation and of course doesn't have Jake Delhomme passing to him. Best of luck to ya
lancej22 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I would wait until after wk 1, then re-eval the trade...check my post, thanks!
ullloveit 0 Posted September 1, 2007 your giving uo too much. With your rb depth you should be able to get a nice wr in return without trading colston. Mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283387
