Giants Fan 85 Posted November 24, 2007 So, I was down in Tucson for Thanksgiving, just ran a tank full of "Guranteed To Pass" treated gas and filled up with medium grade 89 .... and I thought, hey ... maybe I should test here and see if I pass here. So, first ... I think it was like $10 cheaper. Fee was $12.50. Pretty sure it's like $24 in Phoenix. Next, when it comes to the test on the rollers ... in Phoenix they got that thing up in 5th gear ... high RPMs .... and in Tucson it's a slow and steady range from 20-25 MPH, and then an idle test. From what I can tell they didn't even test the NOx which is the part of the test I failed in Phoenix, twice. So, I passed. Good for another 2 years. Don't get too excited ... but I kinda think it's all bullshiat. I ran a fuel injector cleaner AND cleaned my throttle body and tested WORSE the second time in Phoenix.
