Dayton -1 1 unit LOSER

My bookie doesn't take hockey. And if he did the only thing I would ever bet is against the Blue Jackets.

Taking Friday off, hope to see some fellas jumping in with thoughts on Brackbuster Saturday.

Buckeyes on Senior Day

Refs helped out as the always do on senior days, that and the Spartans can't handle the press. I'll be taking Ohio State and the points again on Friday maybe even moneyline

Here is how one bracketoligist has the breakdown:

http://bp0.blogger.com/_OxkZF8Xm-iI/R9KwrM...01_20080307.JPG

The one seeds: Memphis, UCLA, Tennessee, UNC

2 seeds: Georgetown, Texas, Duke, Kansas

3 seeds: Stanford, Xavier, Wisconsin, Louisville

4 seeds: Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Indiana

5 seeds: Drake, UCONN, Purdue, Marquette

6 seeds: Gonzaga, Butler, BYU, Washington State

7 seeds: Clemson, Pittsburgh, USC, St. Mary's

8 seeds: Kansas State, Miami Fl., Oklahoma, Mississippi State

9 seeds: West Virginia, Baylor, South Alabama, Texas A&M

10seeds: UNLV, Arizona, Kent State, Arkansas

11seeds: Kentucky, Illinois State, Villanova, Maryland

12 seeds: Arizona State, Davidson, Virginia Commonwealth, U-Mass

13 seeds: Oral Roberts, Stephen F. Austin, Virginia Tech

14 seeds: New Mexico State, Sienna, UC- Santa Barbara, Cornell

15 seeds: Portland State, Belmont, UNC- Ashville, Robert Morris

16 seeds: Morgan State, UMBC, Austin Peay/Alabama State, American

*** I don't see how Indiana can be any where near the 3 seed after being embarrassed by Penn State. They've been completely embarassed by Michigan State before that. Also, Michigan State has some bad losses not including the one to Ohio State. I'd put Michigan State and Indiana down to 7 seeds.

Sorry, swirve, been working a lot.

Didn't seem like anyone cared.

Rest of card today:

UCLA -3.5

UCLA/Sford Over 125

Ark +6

Kent -2.5

GA +12

I lost yesterday with Marquette and Purdue......... called the Boston loss in the NBA at home against Utah

Today, I need Tennessee(who is down at half), Stanford +6.5 ( really tired legs though and tied at half), I got lucky with Wisconsin and am looking for Georgetown to kick Pittsburgh's a$$ tonight. I know , Levon Fields is back in the lineup and Sam Young is having the tournament of his career, but this is Pittsburgh. Pitt caught Louisville and Marquette off guard, both were a bit complacent. If that game yesterday, goes 4 more minutes, Pitt loses to Marquette.

Art, looks like I'm on the opposite side of you on the Sec and Pac 10 championships...........The up side, is one of us has to win!

Four lined games today:

1pm Clemson vs. UNC -5.5/149.5...Lean UNC but need to study up a little more.

3 pm Texas vs. Kansas -5.5/136...Like Texas because they have better guard play.

3:30 pm Illinois vs. Wisky -6.5/112.5...Lean Wisky as Illinois will have serious problems scoring.

3:30 pm Georgia vs. Arkansas -8/131...Lean Arkansas as Saturday double header should catch up with Ga.

I'll probably stay away from the Clemson/UNC game. Does Carolina have a lot of desire to go all out and win today? They have the #1 seed in the East and nothing will change that. Clemson is playing for their first ACC Championship in decades, took UNC to the wire in the previous two games, and are really playing great.

I like Texas to cover against Kansas because they do matchup well with Kansas. I'm getting real close to taking the Longhorns on the money line. Only thing stopping me is a #1 seed is on the line and Kansas will have a huge homecourt advantage. Plus, they have knocked out the Horns the last two years for the title if I'm not mistaken. Maybe Texas beat them year before last.

I'm taking Illinois. That's too many points to give up in the boring Big 10 conference. It will probably be a 50-46 type game.

Staying away from the Georgia/Arkansas game. While playing a 3rd game in a little over 24 hours will take a beating on Georgia, did Arkansas use all of their energy in that great win over Tenn?

Leaning to Illinois because of injury to Wisc G Trevon Hughes. Haven't pulled the trigger yet.

gl to all

I hear you on the Trevon Hughes injury, Art. But, Trevon didn't make the trip to Texas when Brian Butch took down the horns in final seconds. But, that was a long time ago... So, who knows. Looks like you got UNC game already, which I only took at the moneyline level. Good job. I hear you on the good guards of Texas, but doesn't the site of Kansas City, MO favor Kansas more than Texas? I played Kansas moneyline, but it really wouldn't surprise me if Texas won outright. I followed Arkansas in this tournament, but I still don't believe in them. Why didn't Tennessee sprint back on defense when they hit that bucket at the 16 second marker? Also, I couldn't believe Lofton missed the game winner. To me, and I'm often wrong, Arkansas is way over priced or over valued. I'm playing Georgia moneyline.

My plays:

Wisconsin moneyline

Georgia moneyline

Kansas moneyline

North Carolina moneyline

Good luck to anyone involved in this craziness.

My NBA plays for tonight are:

Atlanta -120 moneyline

Charlotte +320 moneyline

I like Atlanta because they're trying to grab the 8th and final spot in the East playoff picture. The Knicks are dead for the playoffs but say they want to finish strong. I am aware of Atlanta's road woes, but I did call their win on the road against Golden State, so I feel I have a pretty good grip on them. Curry is out for the year giving Atlanta a good inside the paint advantage with Horford and Josh Smith playing fairly well lately.

I just don't like Cleveland lately. Lebron James is turning the ball over like crazy. Cleveland should bounce back on their home court, but I'll take my chances with Charlotte tonight.

Good luck All!

Holy crap, Denver scored 48 in the 1st quarter. That's nuts. I still need Toronto to get it in gear and come back against Sacramento.

Hopefully there'll be some decent NBA in these next 3 days. Then sometime on Wednesday night, I hope there will be others sharing their tourney picks for Thursday. I'll admit I'm on the fence on a few games right now.

Still alive and possibly looking to make some futures bets in the NCAA. If anyone is making any futures bets, and you care to share, I'd love to hear them. It seems like the decent coin is made on calling the champ, and the not so decent, but good coin is made on calling the regional sections.

Today is Monday so I'm just thumbing through the NBA games.

I've got 3 moneylines:

SanAntonio -175 ( Don't know if Ray Allen is even going to start for Boston.)

Indiana -340 ( Knicks look dead and they played yesterday while Indiana rested.)

Orlando -290 ( Cleveland played yesterday and almost let opposition catch them after being up by double digits. )

With Coran Butler back, it's hard for me to take Atlanta or Atlanta and points. Joe Johnson can only do so much by himself and the trade for Mike Bibby hasn't impressed me at all. However, I know Atlanta needs the win for that last playoff spot, so I think the Atlanta/Washington matchup is good one to lay off of. I was also tempted on the Bulls with Chris Paul and David West ailing for New Orleans, but could'nt pull the trigger.
