10 team draft #7 pick - I NEVER end up liking my draft

Recommended Posts

QBs Rothlesburger, Gerrard

RBs LJohnson, Bush, McFadden, J Stewart, Fargas

WRs Moss, H Ward, D Mason, DJ Hackett

TE J Witten

D NE

K Scobee

PPR league 14 spots - #7 pick (I hate the late 1st round) Draft order: Moss, LJ, Big Ben, McFadden, Witten, Bush, Ward, Mason, Stewart, Garrard, Pats D, Fargas, Hackett, Scobee

Shockey is undrafted - TEs can fill a WR slot, WR and RB can fill a flex. No hard TE slot. Thinking about dropping a WR and picking up Shockey. What could I package - good target player(s)?

Line up of:

Big Ben

LJ

Bush

McFadden/Stewart (?)

Moss

Witten

NE

Scobee

For a 14-teamer, I'm not sure that's all that bad. I'd consider starting Fargas instead of McFadden/Stewart, for now at least. I don't think Hies Ward is done, so you may get some good use out of him this year as well.

LJ in the 2nd is a risky pick. He was injured last year... and his team does not have much else to offer. I might have gone with another stud WR to pair with Moss and tried to dominate that way. You should have taken a RB in the 3rd round, which leads to the another problem...

You took Big Ben too early... probably a round or two early. He lasted until the late 4th round in my 10 team draft.

Not tragic by any means... just could've been better.

I'd most likely drop DJ Hackett for Jeremy Shockey. I think Shockey has a higher ceiling than Hackett.
