tplbge 2 Posted October 22, 2008 I think many in this thread are in a bit of denial. Denver is much more of a passing team this year than in the past. Reason? Their defense can't stop anybody! New England finally scored 20 pts. in a game, and Kansas City ran all over them in another road game and now Denver will be playing from behind and in shootouts the rest of the way. You saw much more running the other night, just because Cutler hurt his finger. After the bye week, the passing trend will continue especially now with Champ done for at least a month. No running stud on this team, sorry.

No running stud on this team, sorry. Denver is 13th in the league in rushing. The best defense is to keep the other teams offense off the field, and running football and clock management is the way to do that. You are crazy if you think Denver/Shanahan is going to get pass happy. Their offense is good enough to keep them in games, and also good enough to get big early leads... which means they will continue to run the football. They will occasionally have to abandon the run if they get blown out, but I highly doubt we will see the same type of game as we did on Monday night. And even in that blowout of a game, Pittman still carried the ball 20 times for 88 yards. Now I agree that Denver will not be a run heavy team as say the Giants and Titans. But if one guy is getting the bulk of those carries as Pittman is now, then it will definitely be fantasy relevant
