9-Route 0 Posted October 12, 2008 huge win for this team. like the dolphins, the falcons have followed a very strong lead under a new mgmt regime, starting with personnel director/GM thomas dimitroff from the pats, and new coach mike smith from jax. this team plays hard and has become consistent. qb matt ryan is showing the polish that made him a high draft pick and using a tailored gameplan well. the shocking thing today was the effort to put elam into game sealing/winning position, watch him miss, watch the defense which played great all day yield a seemingly game-winning TD to the bears [who played great 4th qtr football themselves], and have the total team composure and focus to say, "ok, cool, we just need one big pass and we have a chance." fabulous finish, great focus and determination, great story.
