Kevin Smith's injury

Recommended Posts

Any of you know the severity of Kevin Smith's injury on Sunday. Need to make a decision by Thursday and I am playing for my playoff life. I dont like the matchup against Tennessee but he has run well the last 2 weeks againt two good D's (Carolina and Tampa Bay). Since he is a flex option my other choice would be Kevin Walter vs Jacksonville.

I have both players as well but am playing Walter without thinking twice. Smith has done well on a terrible team ... but I wouldn't expect much from a banged up guy against a pissed off D on a short week.

Also, Walter had two TD's and really nice numbers against Jacksonville earlier in the season.

Regardless of KS's injury I think you play Walter.

I beg to differ. Kevin smith is a good play against Ten and here is why.

Season overall TEN is in top 15 teams to give up production to RBs

Last 5 Weeks they were top 8 to give up production to RBs

Last 3 weeks they were top 5 to give up production to RBs

TEN defense is rutheless against pass offense. Not the run defense.

If smith can gain 80+ yds against Tampa, who is top 5 overall against Run, he will have a good day against TEN.

My prediction is 60-80 yds and a TD. Also shoulder injuries wont hold RBs back as they dont usually catch that much.

Now i just have to have the guts to start him over LT who is going against ATL who have consistently been better.
