Melvinbet 5 Posted October 1, 2009 I have a lot of RB's and WRs that I either drafted or picked up for value at the expense of carrying only 1 def, 1 TE and 1 K. Now I will be facing bye weeks for my def and kicker and QB coming up in week 5 and I have to try to do some 2 for 1 deals to free up some space. I am planning on packaging up someone with Portis if anyone ends up even wanting him. The WRs I have are Boldin, Cotchery, Steve Smith (NYG), Manningham, Harvin, Marshall and Knox. Or should I off another one of my RB's with Portis. I have Addai/Brown, Benson, Coffee, Parker, Rice and Deangelo Williams. I also have Beenie Wells but nobody in my league seems to want him and I think he's got a ton of potential. I have been considering getting rid of 1 or 2 of either Knox, Harvin, Manningham, Parker and Rice. (BTW,This is a first come first serve waiver league and nobody else seems to care enough to try to make any pickups before I do. That's how I got most of my WR's. These guys do make waiver picks, just not fast enough. Our picks can be made any time there is not a game in progress.) Also, my kicker is Gould so I am not afraid to dump him off for a week and take the chance that someone else might grab him. Thanks for the help. Leave a link - I'll answer yours. BigMilk 40 Posted October 1, 2009 Assuming you're in a standard scoring league, RBs are always at a premium, so I wouldn't cut any of them. Thats a ton of wideouts you have though, many who will probably never see the field, so I'd look to free space by dumping some. I'd probably dump Knox and either Manningham or Harvin, but its really a judgment call. Most of those guys at the end are comparable and its tough to know who will seperate themselves from the pack just yet. Go with your instinct and lose 2 WRs. If your league is as slow as you say making WW pickups, you'll probably be able to get one, if not both, back. see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=352141

ampheels 3 Posted October 1, 2009 i would keep rice as hell give you steady production as a low end # 2 runner ...i'd wait around on portis because any value you can get selling low isnt worth it... i'd sell manningham and parker high together after their recent performances and pick up a quality WR2 in the 20-24 range.. i'd definitely keep percy as i think hes a great flex option or a WR 3 each week ( what else do you want out of those spots otehr than upside ) as for knox, wait for coffee to blow up this upcoming week and flip those 2 together for and then flip for another flex type runner to play matchups with (leon wash/bradshaw/etc)
ThatAlexGuy 0 Posted October 1, 2009 You should get rid of Knox and Manningham. Knox is a rookie and won't ever warrant a start on your team. You are already invested in the NYG passing game, and I don't see how Manningham will be worth more than Smith, so you can safely drop him off as well. Whatever you do, don't drop Rice or Parker. enjoi525 0 Posted October 1, 2009 For players to drop it would have to be knox, parker, and manningham. For packaging for a trade I feel you can get some great value on Benson and sell high on him. I would also try and trade rice, I am trying to in my leagues. I don't like the whole McGahee issue. Steve Smith's (NYG) value is really high right now and might be able to get something good for him.
