Gotta post something, cause this place is dead!

Recommended Posts

Man, where you guys at? Nothing going on for days here. Very unlike the XDL and we should be ashamed of ourselves. :)

If anything I at least figured Topes would be posting ad infinitum on various pablum. I know he's got nothing else to do. :D

Anyhoo, for a random topic, what do you guys think of McGahee coming out? Get's to rehab on the NFL's ticket now, at least. And will have the best strength and conditioning trainers. I think it's a smart move for him, but it sure puts a wildcard in our rookie draft.

How soon do you take him? Is he a first rounder? Second? IMO he probably needs to go to one of two type XDL teams : 1) A very good, deep team which can wait for him to develop, or 2) a sorry team needing to rebuild and won't challenge next year anyway. Either of those situations would work I think.

My guess is Dr.J will end up with him riding the injury pine next to Fred and Edge next year. :D

Hey, we did just manage to have one of the liveliest discussions on a completely equitable mid-January trade I could imagine.

I think some of us are a little burned out on over-analysis. BTW, Gannon sucks. :D

I done axed this of DrJ via the electronical mail machine:

My presumption is that, should the following scenario occur:

"Spielman admits being intrigued by McGahee, although negotiating a

contract could become a concern. McGahee could opt to not sign if

unhappy with an offer and re-enter the draft in 2004, which is what

ex-UM quarterback Craig Erickson did after tearing his ACL as a

senior. A 1991 fifth-round pick by Philadelphia, Erickson chose not

to sign and was selected by Tampa Bay in the third round the

following year."

...and TyCobb drafted McGahee at 1.07 (a pick he does not deserve)...

...that McGahee would be Ty's all the way regardless...

I am not missing something, am I..?

I was thinking more like Ty takes McGahee at 2.07, thus securing the steal of the draft. :D

Well, it depends how the draft shakes out, but three second round picks might give me some room to take a chance.
