Keeper League Strategy

Recommended Posts

Im in a PPR league of 10 teams. 6pts for all TDs.

Which 2 do I keep?

Brady

Gore

McCoy

Forte

Fitzgerald

I have the 2nd pick. The top players available will be MJD, Mendenhal, and Roddy White. The guy picking #1 will probably take MJD or Mendenhal.

Im seriously considering keeping McCoy and Gore (or Forte) and picking up MJD (if available) to load up on RBs. My next 2 picks can be WRs, and with a 10 team league I am for sure going to get a top 10 QB in the following rounds.

Am I crazy?

McCoy

Fitzgerald

I play it like that, but you could talk me into McCoy & Forte.

Gore is on the decline. Evidence below:

-He's 28 years old. You don't think 28 year old's decline? Ask Clinton Portis in 2009.

-His yards/carry average decreased from 4.9 in 2009 to 4.2 in 2010.

-He has 1371 career carries. Not a huge number, but nothing to sneeze at.

Sure, he'll probably have another good season. But there is a good chance he won't, and I don't want to be the one left holding the bag.

Fitzgerald and McCoy are in stable situations, they're in the prime of their career, and they're excellent PPR assets.

McCoy for sure and then I think Fitz. Mendenhall or MJD (whichever is left) is your RB2 - you'll be happy with that.

McCoy and Brady.

6pnts for all TD's Brady is a late round one pick.

McCoy is a gold mine in ppr he projected himself at 90 catches and I could see it.

I would gamble on MJD at 2nd pick, with MJD, McCoy and Brady in the fold any one of those guys could carry your team to victory in any given week.
