Rookie NOOB: Can you rate my team?

Recommended Posts

QB Josh Freeman

RB Rashard Mendenhall

RB Peyton Hillis

WR Chad Ochocinco

WR Jeremy Maclin

TE Brandon Pettigrew

R/W/T (Flex Player) Ryan Mathews

K Dan Carpenter

DEF Philadelphia Eagles

BN Kyle Orton

BN Willis McGahee

BN Jacoby Ford

BN Santana Moss

I was thinking about switching Moss for Ochocinco. I know I am kind of weak on WRs. Is it generally a better idea to put a RB in the Flex spot? I'm a total noob. I appreciate any advice.

This is a 14 team PPR League.

Its best to play the guy in the flex spot you think will score the most :)

Your team looks pretty good for never doing this before and playing a 14 team league. You are right on your WR, but I wouldn't do anything to it yet, your team is good enough to win you some games before trying to make trades.

Overall, pretty good. I don't think Pettigrew is the best TE, but he should be okay at the moment(don't know how will he'll do this year since he was kind of iffy last year). I think your other positions are looking really good. As for the flex spot, i would say it depends on what other scoring there is beside ppr in your league.

I like that team solid everywhere with lots of upside. I am a fan of RB's in the flex and Matthews could be a good one, but it is a gamble as we still aren't sure of the San Diego workload at RB.

6pnts for passing TD's means QB heavy league but Freeman/Orton should keep you competitive and you should crush your opponents at RB each week in ppr. A little thin at WR but that is the easiest position to fill off the WW in ppr leagues so you should be good, just keep up on the WW darling WR of the week and you should be fine.

I might actually swap out Moss for Maclin, I don't trust that Maclin is going to be a dependable WR early in the season, but I have not kept abreast of his recovery, if you have you know more than I do.

From one NOOB to another, great team and good luck! :overhead:

Well, i'd say with that kind of scoring system, i think i might go with Matthews at that flex spot.
