Rate My 1st Mock Draft of the Season

Recommended Posts

1.09 - Calvin Johnson, WR

2.06 - Darren McFadden, RB

3.09 - Doug Martin, RB

4.06 - Percy Harvin, WR

5.09 - Jay Cutler, QB (didn't want to draft a QB this high, but 5 went in the 1st round - RIDICULOUS!)

6.06 - Brandon Pettigrew, TE

7.09 - Jonathan Stewart, RB

8.06 - Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB (back-ups started going too quickly as well)

9.09 - Denarius Moore, WR

10.06 - Ben Tate, RB

11.09 - Brian Quick, WR

12.06 - Toby Gerhart, RB

13.09 - Mohamed Sanu, WR

14.06 - Arizona Cardinals D

15.09 - Alex Henery, K

I think thats a good job. I don't love Cutler but he could win a fantasy championship. McFadden has real high potential this season if he can actually stay healthy. Doug Martin will be the main guy in a runner friendly offense in Tampa, especially with the work ethic issues from Blount. I like the WR depth too, Moore should could do 1,000 yards this season and Quick will get his chances-especially in the red zone.

I'd give it a B+

Not a big fan of J Stew, since they have a huge RBBC (Stewart/D Williams/Tolbert/Newton), he is a headache to have because you never know when his big game is. Ben Tate/Toby G, solid back ups that may see the field more then most expect and backs are needed when you roster DMC, since he has never played an entire season. Mohamed Sanu is a gamble as rookie WR's don't usually play like Julio/Green did last year (round 13 is a gamble round though), maybe look for other more experienced #2 WR's at that pick. Not a fan of the Arizona D though, would go Jets, Dallas, Giants, Bengals, Falcons over them, but I'm not sure who was there at that point in the draft. Good 1st mock though, they are exactly that, practice.
