Question regarding Waivers on Yahoo

So I am looking at this on Yahoo while setting up our league for this year:

Weekly Waivers

Use these settings to give everyone in the league a fair chance at picking up players.

 

Sunday - Tuesday means all unowned players will be placed on waivers at 10:00am PT each Sunday with the claim period ending at 11:59pm PT on Tuesday.

(does this mean you can only add a player to your team from the waiver list between Sunday and Tuesday?)

 

First game of the week - Tuesday means all unowned players will be placed on waivers at the start of the first game for that week with the claim period ending at 11:59pm PT on Tuesday.

 

Game Time means all unowned players will be placed on waivers at the scheduled start time of their game. In Game Time Waivers, players on a bye week will be placed on waivers Monday night at 5:30pm pacific time.

 

I am a little confused by the definition of claim period. Is it telling us that we can't claim players on Wednesday through Saturday?

Claim time is the period when pick-ups are locked. You have to make a waiver claim if you want a player. If multiple owners claim a player, the owner with the highest waiver priority claims that player. When the waiver period is over, it's generally open season on free agents until the next waiver period begins.

 

Options for waiver times are Sunday Night to Tues midnight, 1st game of week till Tuesday midnight, Game time on a per player basis til Tuesday midnight.

 

Depending on which you pick, free agency is first come first serve from 12:01 Wed to the beginning or the next period.

Thanks that really clears it up. So basically from Sunday til Tuesday midnight people will try and claim a player. After Tuesday the person with the highest waiver ranking gets the player if two or more people claimed someone.

 

But starting on Wednesday it an open market for everyone to claim anyone they want and this part does not affect the waiver rankings.
