Just Finished Draft 12 Team PPR

Recommended Posts

In a 12 team PPR league. 1 point PPR. 6 points TD. How did I do?

Starters:

QB- Eli Manning

RB- Arian Foster

RB- Jamal Charles

WR- Mike Williams (Steelers)

WR- Steve Smith (Panthers)

TE- Jason Witten

PK- Alex Henry

Def- Bears

Bench:

QB- Alex Smith

RB- Trent Richardson

RB- Steven Ridley

WR- Vincent Jackson

WR- Reggie Wayne

Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, Def.

Where am I strong and where do i need help? Any help is appreciated.

1) You drafted a QB too early unless you got Eli in like the 8th round. Trade him for upgrades at WR.

2) Your WR's take a rankings hit in PPR (except Wayne).

3) You need a backup TE, Witten is unlikely to go week 1. I'd suggest Rudolph/Gresham.

4) Cut Alex Smith for a backup QB with some upside (or better yet, no backup QB).

The #1 thing PPR does is devalue the QB position relative to the other ones (because QB's don't catch anything). You want to be the last team in your league to draft a QB while you're stocking up on every other position.

I have to disagree with c9. If I'm reading the OP correctly and all TDs are 6 pts, that raises the value of QBs back to other positions. A QB that would normally get 120pts for throwing 30TDs now gets an extra 60 pts since TDs are 6 pts. I'm personally not that high on Manning but overall it looks pretty good for a 12 Team League.
