Final week playoff race/implications

Here is the deal.

Tarheel Boy, BroncosFan, JasperisOK, and kariya9 have all clinched division titles already. That makes it a 12-team race for 4 wild card spots between the rest of us.

Ulick and Hoffdaddy can only miss the playoffs by losing and getting outscored by both t.j and Scott Hall by well over 100 points.

 

So... that leaves only one playoff spot for the right to get pummelled by Tarheel Boy! :eek: And since the 7th place team (me) plays the 9th place team (Ditkanate)... RK, Justice, TUS, Lydell Buffington, and Tusekan Raiders are eliminated! :eek: (Even a t.j/Ditkanate tie eliminates them based on t.j's record.)

 

So... it comes down to two meaningful games: t.j versus Ditkanate and Scott Hall versus Lydell Buffington. (Actually, considering that any of the three of us would get shellacked by Tarheel Boy there are really no more meaningful games. )

 

Anyway the breakdown for this week is:

If t.j wins he is almost surely in based on a 70 point advantage over Scott Hall. (Question: Do we use head-to-head instead of points as our first tiebreaker? Because I beat Scott Hall 112-41.) If t.j loses and Scott Hall wins, Scott Hall gets in. If Ditkanate wins and Scott Hall loses, Ditkanate gets the 8th spot.

 

May the least-sucky crapass win!

Hmm, it's not quite as bleak as I thought. I've outscored Tarheel Boy in 4 weeks this season and Ditkanate and Scott Hall have each done it twice. However, most of those were in the first half of the season...

Only problem I see is that you've posted everyone's record as though we've played 15 games , when in actuality, we've only played 14 as of today.

This is the only league besides my crapass Sandbox league that i'm not already eliminated from the playoffs. Well, i'm technically not out of it in LOST, but the odds of me getting in are, how did uderpong put it, "about as likely as me convincing my wife to partake in MUA".
