Guest t.j Posted June 22, 2001 Tough decision here with Jeff "0 career TD passes" Lewis. I considered RB/WR/D/K with this pick. I also am not sure Lewis was the best QB left on the board but despite camp competition it seems to be the safe pick. The goal was to avoid being left without a healthy starting QB on the roster if Brunell goes down. And he's got a pass-happy coach and 5 good targets: Muhammad, Walls, Biakabatuka, Jeffers, Hayes. Guest BroncosFan Posted June 22, 2001 Hopefully Conway only reaches my lineup twice this year but if Jimmy Smith doesn't play much, I'll have to settle with him as my #2 WR. To think that I could have a Charger as my #2 WR is kinda scary but he does have talent and things are looking up for him. He'll get two cracks at the Denver seconday so he should have some big games then My top 2 WR's have bye weeks at 5 and 6 and the Chargers play the Browns and the Patriots so he might end up filling in nicely. I needed to make sure I got Gary at some point and at the rate that people were stealing other's backups, I didn't want to wait any longer to get at least 1 of TD's... Like the Morton pick especially... Knew there was no way in hell he was getting back to me though. I have about 6 wr's left on my list that are about = so I figured I'd sew up my rb's with these last 2 picks since there will only be crap left by the time it gets back to me anyways. If I get screwed out of my wr's, well that's my bad. And as for a backup qb...I don't think it would matter much anyways. Almost all left are crap or backups on their own team.
