Dye to Oakland, Neifi Perez to KC, Jose Ortiz, Mario Encarnacion, and PTBNL to Colorado.

 

Well, I guess Oakland, justifiably so for their fans, isn't packing it in for the year and having another firesale. What is KC thinking? Perez will be a younger, but poorer fielding Rey Sanchez outside of Coors. That's the best they could get for Dye. Terrible. Colorado is a big winner too, they get rid of the easily replaceable Perez, opening room for their stud SS prospect, and get another stud SS prospect at 2B.

 

Speaking of the new starting middle infield that will be living the fantasy dream of hitting in Coors Field, they are Mimes, so feel free to inquire on their availability, or that of any of my middle IFs.

That's what I was thinking K9. I think that TB got confused.

 

On the topic though, I don't know what KC's thinking. Perez's contract runs out at the end of the season and with their cost-cutting measures, they won't be able to afford his $5 mil+ per year asking price...

 

Oakland apparently isn't mailing it in and this is also good for my Sox. Looks like the Spanks won't be getting Dye or Giambi now. Concurrently, the Sox won't have to match the Spanks by getting an overrated pitcher (ie Pedro Astacio or someone else).
