Flex position

The last time Barber played Chicago, he got 102 and a TD, and that was on the road. Of course, that was also in 2007, so it might not mean much. The last time Garcon played the Giants, he... uh... ok, he's never played the Giants.

I'd start Barber for two reasons. One (well, 1A, really), he's a little more of a goalline back than the other two in Dallas, with 255 and 3 TDs in his last four games, including the unimpressive 39/0 season opener at Washington. 1B, the rookie Jahvid Best punched in two goalline carries vs Chicago in an otherwise unimpressive 20 yard season opener. Two, Garcon only caught about one-quarter of the passes thrown his way last week, and while 11 targets is pretty encouraging, you have to think that Peyton might have lost a little confidence in him and his 3 catches. He's got too many other quality receivers to have much patience with one whose 8 drops contributed to an opening day loss.

So, while it's kind of a coin flip on paper, I'll give the Axe Elf Stamp of Approval (™) to Barber as the safer play this week.
