Hefeweizen1 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Okay I play in a 12 team league where we score 6 pts for each TD. I picked 9th in a serpintine style draft. I think I made out really well in the first two rounds but made a mess of it after that. Please let me know what you think and who my starters would be if we started tomorrow. We must have 4 RB(2start), 4 WR (2start), 2 QB's (1start), 2 TE (1start), 2DEF (1start), 2 K (1start) RB Tiki Barber (yeah i dont know how he fell to 9 but he did) Lamont Jordan (picked him up with 16th pick thought that was great) Mike Bell Thomas Jones QB Drew Bledsoe Donovan McNabb WR Donald Driver Darrell Jackson Matt Jones Donte Stallworth TE Kellen Winslow Zach Hilton K Lawerence Tynes Jay Feely Def Jac Jags NY Jets I pretty sure I will have the one of the best RB combos in the league and I also think Im alright in the QB situation. The rest is what Im worried about. I feel im a little weak in the TE/WR area. Should I go ahead and try to make a trade for one of the top tier WR's and TE's. and if so who should I try to use as bait.
angman 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Your team is alright, but you have some work to do. I'd start QB McNabb WR Driver and JOnes (This is where you may be a touch weak. Jackson's knees are starting to worry people) RB Tiki and JOrdan TE Winslow (Another weak area, HIlton is running with the 3rd team here, so monitor the situation closley) K weekly matchup DEF Jax is better Please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=223694
jdoll 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Here's my thoughts: QB - Average. I've had McNabb many years and he can put up some good numbers but has been very injury prone and his receiving crew isn't the best. I'm not sold on Bledsoe even with T.O. there, and that can cause more issues. Had that idiot as well last year. RB - Good. I like Barber, very underrated. Bell is a good pickup and should start ahead of Jordan, whom I think will suffer this year as the Raiders are going to be bad. I'm a Bears fan and will stay away from all of their RBs this year. WR - Driver should have a good year as Favre has to get the ball to someone he trusts. Jackson is solid and Jones should step it up this year. I don't think Stallworth will ever reach his potential, had him on my teams many times. TE - Winslow could have good upside. Not much familiar with Hilton. K & D - Good choices to have each week. I'd start McNabb, Barber, Bell, Driver, Jackson, and Winslow. choose your PK & D based upon matchups. Hefeweizen1 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Okay so now I know I have to get better at WR. If I want a top teir WR who should I try to put out on the block?
Football Fan 20 2 Posted August 23, 2006 I really like Jordan, but I think that Bell may have a solid year being that he is in Enver and everyone in Denver puts up 1,000 yards. Oakland just kind of scares me with the situation they're in. I would offer Jordan and Driver and get a top notch WR and a solid backup at RB. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=223593
