12tm flex non ppr std 6pnt all tds results from the 8spot. Fun blurbs for each pick too.

Recommended Posts

Well here it is, my main draft of the year, the big one. Got the call from the 8 spot wich is my most hated.

1. Calvin- happy to have him here, was between him or Lynch and I said screw it.

2. Brees- way outside my comfort zone, I'm a wait on qb guy but 6pnt all TDs and Brees in the 2nd I said screw it again, go for the safe play. When you pick early qb, you have to live or die by it. I'm dreading my rb situation about now.

3. Keenan Allen- Ok, major panic attack. The last rb on my board was taken right before my pick and I was staring down a sea of iffy picks like Mathews and CJ0k. What the hell happened? Allen was the top wr on my board and I threw caution to the wind. My rbs are now in dire straights.

4. Rashad Jennings- well, here we are, Jennings is my no.1 rb. Seriously the only other rb choices were gore or J bell. I'll be lucky to land one of them on my next pick.

5. Gore- ok so at least I got a guy who is old faithful. I'm not ecstatic but I'm not that sad. Like I said, you live and die by the early qb. I could have gotten an rb in Brees spot and still get Ryan later, but I paid for the guaranteed top qb finish.

6. TY Hilton- I really wanted my rb3 here. Shane Vereen was he only guy I could take here but I took Hilton instead chasing possibly a big season. Maybe Shane was the right pick, but I'll have to swallow it.

7. Pierre Thomas- ok I feel alright about this. He has upside with Sproles gone and I have zero faith in Ingram as anything more than a change of pace.

8. Fred Jax- I guy I really don't like but is a plug and play savior when in an emergency. I'd like more upside but it was Jax or T West and I don't want to gamble on a maybe.

9. Marcellus Bennett- ugh. Rudolph was taken a few picks before and Bennett was the very last of the TE I considered startable. I'm banking on a good season for cutler helping Bennett to 800 8 at least. I'm not an Ertz fan, he splits with celek.

10. Jeremy hill- prob my fav pick of the draft. A potential steal and I'm breathing easier about my rbs now.

11. Boykin- upside wr depth

12. RG3- seriously he fell this far? Ok, well I guess it won't hurt to take him.

13.Dunbar- upside rb depth behind a brittle starter in Murray.

14. Doug Baldwin- upside wr depth now that Tate is gone.

15 and 16 K and dst.

13.

QB: Brees, RG3

**What's not to like here. Got possibly the #1 overall QB and a back-up that has all the tools to be #1. Great job at the QB position.

RB: Jennings, Gore, Thomas, Jackson, Hill, Dunbar.

**Taking Calvin & Brees, there is price to pay, but you did well to adjust. I would have liked to see you nab Hyde or A. Williams to back up either Jennings or Gore, but you did well and got decent depth for waiting that long on a RB. I like Hill's potential in Cincinnati. I don't see a big need for Dunbar, but understand why you took him. I would try and get Andre Williams. Better potential and insurance for you.

WR: Calvin, Keenan, TY, Jarrett, Doug

**Pretty solid core. TY as your third is pretty good. I really like Boykin as your fourth. He is an injury away from stardom, but even as a #3 in GB he offers solid WR3 potential with WR2 possibilities. The only thing I don't like is Doug Baldwin. He's had his chances to be a #1 WR and failed everytime. I don't see any reason to roster him. I'd rather have Jermaine Kearse from Seattle. At least Kearse gives you a player that can breakout and he scores long TD's.

TE: Bennett

**I'm not a Bennett fan, but he's okay. I would drop Baldwin or Dunbar and grab a TE with potential. Tim Wright, CJ Fiedorwicz....someone with the chance to become a top 5 TE. May not be one out there, but then again, Julius Thomas wasn't on anyone's radar last year. There is prolly another Julius Thomas out there this year....try and find him!

Overall I think you did pretty well. Brees and Calvin should give you weekly stability and cancel out the team your playing studs. You need Jennings, Thomas or Gore to score consistently for you to give you a legit shot to contend for your league title. I think you should be okay. Good team, good job and good luck!!

Thanks, and I agree with Hyde and Andre who were both picked relatively high so I couldn't get them. I'll try to find some more upside over Baldwin, Kearse was drafted.
