DixieDevils 0 Posted June 17, 2008 College Football America, a 3rd-year fantasy league, is looking to fill a few openings. The league, which started in 2004 before taking time off and reopening last year, had 32 teams last year. Currently, we have 29 owners -- most returners from last year or 2004 -- back. We need 1 owner for a Midwest Conference team, drafting players from the Big Ten, Big 12 and independent schools; and 2 owners for the West Conference with players from the Pac-10, WAC, and Mountain West. Teams play an 11-game schedule with the top 10 teams playing bowl games. BCS formula is used to determine the top two teams, who play for the national championship. Conference champions, unless playing in national title game, are tied to various bowls -- East Conference (Orange); South Conference (Sugar); Midwest Conference (Fiesta); West Conference (Rose). League has four conferences of eight teams each. There will be a fee TBD. Teams will have 20-man rosters with a limited free agency and no trading. This is a keeper league. You keep the players on your roster until they either graduate, leave school or transfer out of your conference. You may cut any player, but, remember, free agency will be limited to a certain number of moves per year. Starters will be QB, RB, WR, TE, PK, DT and two flex (RB or WR). Four years ago, two West Conference teams played for the national championship. Last year, two Midwest teams. So the talent is definitely out west.
