  1. Enjoyed the article and enjoy Kirwan's analysis. The league I'm in is very deep at 24 team so this was gold. Only one of these WRs was still available. We'll see.

How many of us feel we messed up our drafts.

My main league is 24 teams so it's imperative you get two RBs and two QBs relatively early. I broke those two rules and also let a little homerism get the best of me. After two keepers (R.Moss & R.Brown), I hated the RBs available at 1.20 and picked Marques Colston. I'll be paying for that move all year. Then, I went homer in grabbing the GB defense instead of Trent Edwards or Kyle Orton. Ce la vie.

    Rank these 5 WRs

White Colston Boldin Bowe TO I think TO's #2 on his own team. Same for Boldin, but it's a whole different story there. I like Bowe but he's kind of in the doghouse.

    Who's worse?

Improved each year??? Tice was 9-7, 8-8, and 9-7 the three seasons before Chilly. It's taken Brad three years to get back to zero. The guys sucks. The Vikings are much too talented to carry this clown. (And I'm a Packer fan.) Any other coach worth his salt would have swallowed his pride on T-Jack, signed a quarterback, turned over play calling and hit the Super Bowl last season. He's miles ahead of McD--that dude hasn't lost a game yet.

Who Benefits More from TO being in Buffalo?

Any more details out there on Lynch? (Sadly, the dude may be one of my two franchise players.) I'd like to think TO opens up the field for Marshawn, but if the guy can't keep his nose clean and fend off Jackson, it just won't matter. Lynch must think he's Cecric Benson or Larry Johnson. Dang!

Packers lose ANOTHER game by less than 4 points!

You guys are letting Rodgers and the offense off the hook too easy. I don't believe they converted a 3rd down all day. Don't talk to me about yardage. Screw 100 and 300. Make a play when it matters. Both the D and the special teams came up with turnovers. The offense couldn't get out of their own way. While Rodgers seems to put up stat without the proverbial "it," I'm not calling for Favre. Still think Thompson made a great trade. Looks like a second-rounder for a guy who wasn't taking you anywhere this year anyway. The Packers are still pretty young and they don't quite have the intangibles yet as a team. While this season sucks, I still think they're built very well for the long haul.

    Wrs a problem for me

I like Washington because Curtis and Boldin need more time to get up to speed. If you believe the Pitt game will be a grinder, consider Boldin. A handful of plays from him could equal a whole day of someone else. Admit I'm a little biased against Carillo though.

    Im screwed this week

League One: White, Washington, Randle El. Morgan might draw Trufant. League Two: Washington, Boldin--even with half the plays, Anquan could do more.

Which WR to start out of these 3?

    Same logic to vote Calvin.
  10. Both are projected to put up similar numbers. I'd rather start Fave, but I think the Jets will be able to run. Plus their WRs are dinged so it might limit Brett's production. What do you think?

    Roger Goodell Reinstates Brett Favre

Unlike TT and Murphy, McCarthy has always said that "Favre was part of our past and, if he's reinstated, he will be part of our future." I hope Brett and Aaron do get to compete. I'd bet it would be a tight race. That makes me really want to have both of them this season. But who knows? The way things have gone so far, you never really know where we're headed next! Due to the money and egos involved, I think this could have gone (could be going) much worse. I'm not ready to pass harsh judgment on Favre or the Packers. Hindsight will only be 20/30 anyway. Sit back and enjoy the rest of the show. The last time the Packers won the Super Bowl, Brett had a circus of an offseason with his stint in rehab. He and this team never take the easy road.
  12. Adam Scheffler says that if the Packers hired Favre in a marketing capacity for the big money, that money would mean a cap hit? Why in the world would that be? Many teams have hired former players in various capacities. Why would Favre be any different? The amount and situation should not be a factor if it hasn't been for any other marketing/PR employee they've ever had. Without the cap hit, I still think it's a brilliant plan. And I would never consider Favre a money grubber for taking the offer. he's put himself in a position to be worth considerable value as a franchise icon. The Favre legend products at the Lambeau Pro Shop can continue to sell like hotcakes where they would plummet if #4 plays elsewhere. It's a good business decision for both parties.
  13. Look, I've watched every Packer game--at least parts--since 1979. Favre is by far the best player I've seen in Green and Gold. I also know that he's lost his edge. For all the world, Favre looked like he gave up in the second half of the Championship Game. God bless him, but he looked like he just thought, "I'm way to old for this sh!t." I believe GB wins that game if McCarthy has the nuts to replace Favre with Rodgers. Well, it's taken a few months, but the Packers management has finally located their balls. Thank God they won't let him play anywhere else. Sure, I'd love to watch Brett play. Guy's quite an entertaining player. But in the grand scheme of things him playing anywhere else just ain't right. I'm not so sure he beats out Rodgers if he did come to camp. And then what? He re-retires? I don't know. Let' skip that step and hire him on as the greatest headline maker in the history of football. The last few months proves it so.
  14. Depends on the details. My guess is that the money would also mean some sort of title like "Grand Pooba Ambassador of Green Bay Packers Community Relations." If he's employed by the club in an off-field capacity, Favre never wears another jersey and the Packers get their young gun and their cap space. It's like GB having their cake and eating it too. These guys mat not be as dumb as they seem.
