Slant Pattern 0 Posted July 18, 2017 I'm in a 12 team PPR league in which I'm drafting 12th. Would you keep Antonio Brown as your first round pick or keep Michael Thomas as your 6th round pick? Given that this is a keeper league, I know there will be 4-5 players kept who would typically go in the first round of a redraft league so my 12th pick is more like a 16th or 17th pick in terms of players available. I'm trying to figure out whether the safety and consistency of Brown is worth more than the value of Thomas as a 6th round pick. Brown at the 12th spot is very tempting. However, if I keep Thomas and I select two WR's at the 12th and 13th spot, I could probably get Cooper and Baldwin/Hopkins. (I'm also keeping Howard with my 15th round pick so I'm in no rush to draft a RB). I appreciate your thoughts.
scottsind 61 Posted July 18, 2017 Antonio Brown is still one of the best in the league. Michael Thomas has a lot of hype surrounding him (and has the potential to achieve this hype and ADP), but Brees really does spread the ball around. I have a feeling Snead may sneakily be just as good as Michael Thomas this year. Maybe not in touchdowns, but it catches and yards. Until Antonio Brown proves otherwise he is a top 3 WR is the league each year. Upside will fall to you in the later rounds so Antonio Brown and Howard is a good start to the draft! Good luck! weepaws 2,478 Posted July 18, 2017 This is a great question. I'm one that thinks Big Ben is already thinking rocking chair and not so much taking one more hit for his team. M But I need to see more production out of M Thomas before I can place him ahead of Brown. Value wise M Thomas looks great , but so does Brown as a 1.12. I'm taking Brown. TheErosion 6 Posted July 23, 2017 Gotta go Brown. Grab Thomas later in the draft.
