phoenixff 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Wow, don't need to be cruel but I think you need a lot of help. McNabb is a good pick but I still am not sold on Jackson or McGahee. WR's are also suspect. TE's Winslow is a risk. Over all I see a lot of risk with little chance of reward but what do I know. Please see mine??
Spohn 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Im not sold either, but im not sold on anyone to be honest after the top 3.
leftyguitar 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Thanks for your response to my question! QB 3 (#32) McNabb, Donovan (QB PHI) RB 1 (#8) Jackson, Steven (RB STL) RB 2 (#17) McGahee, Willis (RB BUF) WR 5 (#56) Jackson, Darrell (WR SEA) WR 4 (#41) Wayne, Reggie (WR IND) TE 10 (#113) Winslow, Kellen (TE CLE) K 11 (#128) Tynes, Lawrence (K KC) DST 6 (#65) Bears, DST (DST CHI) RS 14 (#161) Rams, DST (DST STL) RS 13 (#152) Bennett, Drew (WR TEN) RS 12 (#137) Stevens, Jerramy (TE SEA) RS 7 (#80) Addai, Joseph (RB IND) RS 9 (#104) White, LenDale (RB TEN) RS 8 (#89) Green, Trent (QB KC) lets look at positives first: McNabb, Steven Jackson, McGahee, Bear's D, Wayne-DJax combo should be very good. negatives: unless this is a keeper league, get rid of White and Winslow. Get rid of the Rams defense either way. Pick up some WR help. Not a bad team, but get rid of the deadweight and you'll be better.
Spohn 0 Posted August 13, 2006 yeh rams are gone, you have to draft 2 DEF in this league. Should i pick up another WR?
cavern 70 Posted August 13, 2006 thanks for your reply, btw. i think it really matters whether you have a flex spot or not. if not: i like your starters. if yes: then you really need to be able to start 3 rb's so you really need addai to grab the starting gig early, (or lendale white for that matter). if you win your league it'll probably be something along the lines of: you stay at .500 for the first half the season, and then ride a huge second half surge from addai. so, don't get impatient and drop addai when he does nothing the first few games
Spohn 0 Posted August 13, 2006 yeh no flex in this league. SJAX and mcgahees bye are week 7 and 8 so i shouldnt have to worry bout startingf addai or white very much the 1st 2 months.
k9tofive 0 Posted August 13, 2006 RB 1 (#8) Jackson, Steven (RB STL)RB 2 (#17) McGahee, Willis (RB BUF) I understand S Jackson as first pick, but I think you should have gotten a Top WR (Smith/Holt/Fitz/Johnson) with pick #2 and get a McGahee-TYPE of RB in round 3, or wait on RB, take another WR (like Ward/Chambers) and then any of these with 4th pick - ALL who will be within 1 point per game of McGahee's IMO: Willie Parker Corey Dillon Warrick Dunn Chester Taylor Jamal Lewis Reuben Droughns QB 3 (#32) McNabb, Donovan (QB PHI)McNabb was too early here and I think this is the pick that throws your draft off. I think if you are drafting late in a 12 teamer this year you have to STRONGLY consider abandoning the RB-RB tactic that has worked the past few years - the drop off is just too big between Big3RBs --> Portis/Tiki --> every other confirmed non-RBBC. Having a RB corp of S Jackson+Lewis and WRs Fitz/Ward/Glenn (for example) + Green is not a bad team to field every week for 12 team leagues.
Spohn 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Just lookin at old posts. This team is 5-0 right now and in breakdown its 55-0. Look pretty much the same. Should i upgrade at WR? Or stand pat?
