Me_2006 14 Posted August 26, 2006 With week one just a few weeks away, alot of my league is already setting up their starting line ups and things like that. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on who to start/sit and how the teams match up. My Week One Opponent: QB- Green Warner B. Johnson RB- Tiki J.Lewis Dunn C.Martin P. Holmes Jacobs WR- S. Smith R. Moss Plax Keyshawn Johnson TE- Witten D/ST- Giants K- Reed My Roster: QB- Brady Bledsoe RB-LJ Portis McGahee Fred Taylor WR- Wayne Chambers Branch Evans Lelie Porter TE- Shockey D/ST- Bucs Redskins K- Kaeding We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 RB/WR, 2 WR's, 1 TE, 1 DEF/ST, 1 K. Standard scoring 6 pts TD (except passing=4) 10 yds rush/rec= 1 pt 25 passing=1 pt. Standard D/ST and Kicker scoring. Any input on roster set up, reasons why, potential big weeks, busts, tough matchups, etc? Leave a link and I'll gladly get back to you. Thanks in advance. JREarly 0 Posted August 26, 2006 this is what i would go with as your starting lineup for week 1: qb - brady (not sure who NE plays but i know dallas plays a tough jacksonville D and TO might not play) rb - LJ rb - portis (if he is not ready to go just start mcgahee) wr - wayne wr - chambers te - shockey def - redskins (i know they play MIN but i am not sure who bucs play, if they are weaker than MIN play bucs) k - kaeding pretty solid team. leftyguitar 0 Posted August 26, 2006 i'll third that opinion. looks solid. thanks for seein mine... the branch deal fell through... but who knows what might happen now with him getting permission to look for trades. i'm sensing an end to the holdout soon one way or another. Bash 0 Posted August 26, 2006 I like what has been proposed but I think I would take Tampa's Defense at home against Baltimore. I'm not sure there is a big difference between the match-ups. But, as a Tampa Bay homer, I just want to let you know that they look like they haven't missed a beat from last year. Good Luck
Me_2006 14 Posted August 26, 2006 Thanks for the input, and for the home town advice. I think I may go with them but it's still a toss up at this point really. That's a shame on the Westy/Brown deal but I think we might be okay with Branch after all Lefty. Anyone got any predictions? Win/Loss? Who could be my big scorers? Just trying to get a feel for my first game of the season because its so unpredictable.
