Pick a rb-trade implications

Recommended Posts

12 team standard non-PPR keeper league

My team:

McNabb/Warner/Simms

LJ/Droughns/Rhodes/Addai/Benson

Holt/Chambers/Housh/Mason/D. Jackson/Henry

I am trying to trade for a #2 rb with an owner who has:

McGahee/KJ/T. Bell/Maroney/D. Williams

He wants a wr and assume he would do something for Chambers. Do I pull the trade on a trade for any of these backs. They are solid but no spectacular. Need advice. Is a Chambers/Benson for McGahee/B. Berrian trade to my benefit? Do I hold out and hope one of my backs comes on or Addai starts? Look for soemthing else?

I dont know if he would take it, but I really think that Chambers/Benson for McGahee/Berrian would be a great trade for you. McGahee is the back you want to go for, he looked great last week and he would make your team much stronger. Even Chambers/Benson for McGahee would be a great trade for you. There is definately better backs out there you could go for, but if something makes you think that this guy would agree with this trade I'd jump on it now.

McGahee is definitely the best of that group.

however KJ may be a decent option. He started slow cuz they played two tough defenses in the first two weeks, so you may be able to get him for reasonably cheap.

I would expect his numbers will get better against the rest of the league. So if you dont wanna give up a top receiver, this may be an option that will get the job done. Remember hes running in a MartZ offense, so I think he'll do okay. By the end of the season I'd expect 1000+ total yards from him.

another option, you can package one of your backups (Rhodes or benson, but not Addai) along with a receiver to get the RB you want.

how many keepers are you allowed to keep in this draft? Depending on how many you are allowed, this may affect your trading strategy somewhat.

We can keep 2 players. I may try and offer D. Jackson/Benson for McGahee. I would like to keep Benson as this is a keeper league. Would I be better off with moving Droughns over Benson?

KJ's stock is very low right now. With that being said, try and trade your best WR on the bench for KJ straight up. Martz offense will come around

There is No way you should even consider sending Holt for KJ.

I might send Chambers, but Not holt.

if he said no to that, I'd consider throwing in Rhodes along with Chambers (cuz you'd probably drop him once you got KJ anyhow) but that's as high as I'd offer for him.

I like some of those suggestions above. But if it's a keeper league, you might strongly consider moving a lower-tier WR for a D Williams or Maroney. Both of those guys are going to be huge and are already being productive, so they'll likely help you out this season and be awesome keepers for next year.

Good luck. Please see mine, thanks.

Thanks for helping with mine.

In reguards to yours, you certainly have a nice selection of WRs to choose from making this a perfect trade for you. I'm going to assume that you start 3 WRs and 2 RBs, but do you start a flex? Also, you said that you can keep 2 players. I'll assume LJ is one, but what about the other one? Holt? Addai? Benson? The #2 running back you'll be receiving in the trade? All these will affect the deal in the end.

Now, to the actual trade. Of his backs I definetly like McGahee the best, with KJ the one who might come the cheapest. Like someone stated before, if you wanted to target one of his younger backs you could, but neither of them are the featured back on the team right now so it'd be just like adding another Addai right now, and would only make things harder on who you plan to keep in the end. With that being said, if you want to give up less and take a shot on KJ you might want to package D. Jax or Mason (since you have 3 good wideouts ahead of them, I assume these guys ride the pine unless you just play them all based on matchups) with Rhodes, Addai, or Benson. Then you get KJ as your #2 and Droughns as your flex. OR, if you want McGahee you would simply package Housh or Chambers with Droughns and McGahee will become your #2 and you could fill in Addai to your flex, since it looks like he will be taking over soon.

You got options my man, and it seems like a good deal for you with the WR depth you have. Good luck.
