J. Addai for J. Cotchery

I have J. Addai and the other guy has J. Cotchery but wants to pair Addai with Rhodes (I guess). Anyways, let me put the trade in context by stating the format and who else I have on my roster. We start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1WR/TE, 1K, 1DEF (pretty standard, except for the flex) and scoring is biased a little towards TD but does give yards some love. Here's my RB and WR lineup:

 

RB1: C. Portis

RB2: R. Johnson

RB3: J. Addai (23 rush)

RB4: B. Jacobs (13 rush)

RB5: M. Barber (11 rush)

 

WR1: T.O. - Bye week 3

WR2: H. Ward

WR3: D. Mason (Target:17 Rec:9)

WR4: R. Brown (Target:8 Rec:3)

TE: Gonzo - Bye week 3

 

Trade: J. Cotchery (Target:17 Rec:12)

 

I am in a pinch for depth at WR (especially in week 3) - Cotchery would be a definite upgrade over Brown or even over Mason. But then if I loose Addai I will be without bye week support at RB - I would be praying that T. Barber or J. Jones goes down sometime before Portis or Johnson go on bye. Should I take the risk or is it not worth it?

I wouldn't do it. Addai will put up good numbers as he slowly becomes Indy's number 1. If you can bear it, stick with Addai, you will not be disappointed.

Don't trade Addai for Cotchery. He has much more potential than that. You should be able to do better. Maybe Antonio Bryant or TJ Hoosh if you can. One is emerging and the other should play this week and do well. Just a thought.

I agree. No way I'd trade Addai away straight-up for Cotchery.
